Grenada to host Parliamentary Staff Development Workshop
ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, Friday 19th August, 2016 – GIS: A Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Staff Development Workshop will be hosted in Grenada from Monday 22 to Wednesday 24 August 2016 at the Coyaba Beach Resort. The CPA Workshop will engage Parliamentary staff from across the Caribbean Region working together to develop their core skills and share experiences from their own jurisdictions. The participants will represent countries like Antigua and Barbuda, Anguilla, Guyana, Dominica, Saint Vincent and Grenadines, Jamaica, British Virgin Islands, Bermuda, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Montserrat, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos and St Lucia. One of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association’s core functions is to develop the capacity of Parliamentary staff each year, on a regional basis. The Workshops cover specific aspects of serving parliament. The topics of discussion will include the production and archiving of parliamentary records, clerking for committees and the effective use of technology in Parliament.
