The Coming and Changing of the Great Era

The new cold war between China and the United States has gradually begun. Even if President Trump fails to win the election, hatred and pressure have become difficult to turn back. The principle of "one China" has been deleted in the Democratic Party’s Constitution. Even after the new government comes to power, it is not necessarily like Trump's aggressive anti-China style, but it is a consensus to pinpoint against China.

It is naive to expect the reverse of Sino-US relations, which is an inevitable political reaction of the United States in the stage of hegemonic decline. Moreover, Trump has a chance to do so, and after that, the extreme right is bound to become more rampant, and the new cold war is bound to speed up the deterioration of the relations.

The new Cold War is based on China as its enemy, and will not give up unless it is defeated. Just like dealing with the Soviet Union, the acts will not stop until China is disintegrated. During the Cold War, anti-communism was the main theme. In the new cold war, there is anti-China on top of anti-communism. Anti-China even becomes the focus of surpassing anti-communism. Among them, the recovery of McCarthyism, "non-American" and Trump's "America First" are connected, transformed into an anti-Chinese, anti non-white race, and inherited the century-old anti-Chinese tradition in American history.

At present, China's economic strength is strong, the United States is in decline, and the United States fears China more than the Soviet Union. The United States lacks of confidence, and the new Cold War will desperately disregard legal principles, ethics and civilized norms. Therefore, the new Cold War to China will be more like the Crusades in the Middle Ages, but the target is converted from Islam to China.

The US exclusion of Chinese is an obvious trend in the future. Chinese not only refer to Chinese nationality, but it is believed that Chinese Americans will not escape bad luck. The example is that during World War II, the United States used concentration camps to imprison Japanese descent, regardless of their American citizenship.

Anti-Chinese is all-round, and will be mixed with racism in society. Therefore, it is not only Chinese companies, Chinese products, and Chinese citizens who will be attacked, but all Chinese, even cultural exchanges, educational and academic cooperation with China, will be regarded as "non-U.S.", damage of American national interests and violations of the United States White people’s lifestyle and values. Under this situation, how should the Chinese in the United States and China respond?

The first is to ensure personal safety, and those who can withdraw from the United States should withdraw. The Chinese can also return to Hong Kong, Taiwan, or go to other countries. In short, avoid standing under the dangerous wall and being hurt by the populism and racism of the US government and opposition parties. When a person retreats, the assets should also be withdrawn, first, as a guarantee of life in the future. The second is to avoid losses caused by political confiscation or devaluation of the US dollar. The sale of buildings with property, the sale of stock and bond insurance, move assets out of the United States and return to the mainland or Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan or a third country.

As far as the Chinese government is concerned, of course, it is gradually withdrawing capital, but the amount is huge and it is not easy to get rid of it. Russia has set a good precedent. If it is difficult to withdraw, the government will handle it carefully to prevent the freezing of the United States in a surprise attack. First, diversify, and at the same time divest or borrow US debt to hedge. The big retreat requires a comprehensive plan, and each can be done both lightly and quietly.
